RHINO EBONY
Origin
Rhino leather embodies strength and timeless character. Its thick, textured surface reflects natural history and durability, with a thickness of up to 4 mm. This material combines solidity with elegance, elevating furnishings into distinctive, sculptural pieces.
Colour
The colour features deep, solid tones ranging from black to dark brown, creating a striking sense of depth and dimension. Its appearance is reminiscent of ebony wood, with a rich, dark sheen.
Technical
Crafted from whole hides, this full-grain nabucked leather has a thickness of 3.5 mm or more. It is chrome-tanned, vegetable re-tanned, and aniline-dyed. The leather meets EN-ISO standards for colour fastness to light, abrasion resistance (wet and dry), and tear resistance. The slight nabucking process enhances depth and warmth, while natural grain variations range from smooth to textures reminiscent of elephant hide.
MAINTENANCE
Since this leather hasn’t undergone any kind of treatment, we recommend avoiding, as far as possible, direct exposure to sunlight or to any very intense light sources that could make the leather’s colour change. In addition to these devices, we recommend a simple and constant cleaning using a soft brush on the product’s surface.
