Nestled amongst the gum trees and ocean in Gumbaynggirr country, Lumos Culture burns. Endlessly enchanted by an abundance of rivers, forests, beaches, mountains and glistening waterways.
Lumos is seduced by the ephemeral nature of the seasons; each piece is a work of art that truly encapsulates the poetry of the land and the essence of the artisan that creates it.
Each ceramic vessel is sculpted by the hands of Artisan Romy Bennie exclusively for Lumos using clay, water, wind and fire. Imprints of the mesmerising black rocks along the east coast of Australia are etched into the vessels, which are finished with a basalt-like quality.
Each vessel is hand poured and individually scented using the highest quality oils, immersed in eco-friendly coconut soy wax, and carefully selected from botanical sources.
Due to their organic composition, the colour and texture will evolve over time. Expanding and contracting, darkening, and fading as all-natural materials will.
Thus, each vessel is unique and will never be entirely the same. Each vessel is designed to last well beyond its candle life and be admired in sacred spaces for years to come.
