Jaga, a fashion brand rooted in Mongolia's vibrant heritage, is the brainchild of Jaga Buyan. Born in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, Jaga's upbringing in a household that cherished free thought and artistic expression shaped her creative journey.
At the tender age of 8, she began sewing and fashioning her own clothes from her mother's leftover fabrics, a testament to her early passion for design.
Jaga's designs are a fusion of avant-garde and dishabille styles, radiating a cool nonchalance, sophistication, and femininity. Her creations are a reflection of her Mongolian roots, incorporating cultural and historical influences into unique patterns and designs that are both delicate and raw. Each piece is a testament to Jaga's commitment to quality, crafted from the finest materials, including hand-painted, hand-dyed, printed silk, linen, and cotton.
Although Jaga now resides in Los Angeles, she returns to Mongolia each year to draw inspiration from its landscapes and people. Her dedication to the design of each piece has contributed to the gorgeous aesthetic of her entire collection.
