This hand-dyed hat is a one-off piece. It features an outer hatband detail, stretch lining and is foldable and mouldable.
Horisaki develops elastic/ stretch bands to make their hats easier to wear. It makes the hat sit comfortably on your head and can be worn down in colder weather and/ or as a detail. It makes the fit suitable for most sizes.
Horisaki hats are handmade and handstitched. Therefore, variations in shape, form, colour and measurements in the brim and crown may occur. Measurements will also vary depending on how the wearer shapes the hat.
No stiffening is used in the hat-making process, making the hats soft and comfortable, with good travel ability.
Handmade in Sweden.
Woven from the finest toquilla straw, also known as Panama straw. The natural fibres of the Carludovica palmata plant are hand-dyed using pigments, creating a beautiful, distressed look. Over time, the colour will develop a rich patina, adding to the hat’s timeless character.
Skilled artisans in Ecuador meticulously hand-crochet each material, ensuring exceptional quality and craftsmanship. For a comfortable fit from the start, each hat is pre-washed to enhance the softness of the toquilla straw. The hand-dyeing process also ensures slight variations in colour, guaranteeing you a one-of-a-kind piece. The colour will change and get a beautiful patina over time.
